Colquitt Christian Academy FFA Students Compete in South Region Leadership Events

MOULTRIE, GA — Students from Colquitt Christian Academy recently represented their school and community in major South Region FFA leadership competitions, demonstrating their communication skills, agricultural knowledge, and leadership abilities.

Two members of the Colquitt Christian Academy FFA Chapter competed at the South Region FFA Career and Leadership Development Events held at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus in Tifton, Georgia.

Graham Hampton Competes in Prepared Public Speaking Event

Colquitt Christian Academy student Graham Hampton competed in the South Region FFA Senior Prepared Public Speaking Leadership Development Event (LDE). The event brought together top student speakers from across South Georgia to showcase their understanding of agriculture and their ability to communicate effectively about important industry topics.

The Prepared Public Speaking LDE challenges students to research and develop a persuasive speech on a current agricultural issue. Each participant delivers a six to eight minute speech before responding to questions from a panel of judges.

Competitors are evaluated based on:

  • Quality and accuracy of their speech content
  • Delivery and stage presence
  • Ability to answer questions and demonstrate knowledge of their topic

Hampton competed against a strong field of students representing FFA chapters from across the South Region.

Prepared Public Speaking is one of the premier leadership development events within FFA. The competition helps students build confidence, strengthen public speaking skills, and learn how to effectively communicate about issues impacting agriculture and their communities.

Chandler Keith Competes in FFA Creed Career Development Event

Another Colquitt Christian Academy FFA member, Chandler Keith, competed in the South Region FFA Creed Career Development Event (CDE).

The event was held March 6, 2026, at the UGA Tifton Campus.

  • Ability to answer questions thoughtfully and confidently

The competition helps students develop leadership skills while strengthening their confidence in public speaking and communication.
